political activist, I Am Harvey Milk celebrates our community hero
through an original oratorio of words and song. Andrew Lippa wrote,
scored and stars in this benefit along with Broadway powerhouse and LGBT
ally Kristin Chenoweth, The Orchestra of St. Luke’s and The All-Star
Broadway Men’s Chorus.

Bradbury, President of The Calamus Foundation.
GOLDEN HEART AWARDS: Oct 16, time TBA, Spring Studios,
50 Varick St, glwd.org.The Golden Heart Awards celebrates outstanding
supporters of God’s Love We Deliver, an organization dedicated to
helping people living with HIV/AIDS, cancer and other illnesses. Vogue
editor-in-chief Anna Wintour will receive the Michael Kors Award for
Outstanding Community Service; Oscar winner Halle Berry will present
Leslie Moonves, President and CEO of CBS, with the Golden Heart Award
for Lifetime Achievement.

Honor our LGBT elders at this annual awards ceremony. Honorees include:
Rosanne Leipzig receiving the Paula Ettelbrick Community Service Award

Bronx councilmember collecting the Ken Dawson Advocacy Award.

Center’s mission of providing shelter and structure for LGBT youth in

fundraiser to eradicate the epidemic of LGBT homelessness.

(ASCNYC) to celebrate people fighting the stigma of HIV/AIDS and
creating positive change. The festive evening will include cocktails,

gmhc.org. This annual private cocktail event supports the Gay Men’s
Health Crisis (GMHC) and its many services, particularly those that
provide nutrition to men and women living with HIV and AIDS. Enjoy a
night of raffle prizes, a silent auction, cocktails and music by DJ
Kevin Graves, while giving back to the oldest AIDS organization in the
world and its Congregate Meals Program.
EMERY AWARDS: Nov 12, 6pm-midnight, Cipriani Wall

co-chair Hetrick-Martin Institute’s 28th annual Emery Awards. The
evening of cocktails, dinner and awards celebrates HMI’s dedication to
LGBT youth, and providing them with services such as educational
programs, counseling, housing and health services. There’s also an

Rivera Law Project honors those who make it possible to provide free
legal services for impoverished, incarcerated and low-income transgender
communities. Honorees this year include The Legal Aid Society; Willkie,
Farr and Gallagher LLP; and John Skwiersky.
